Best agencies that build AI agents for design teams (2026)

You already have designers. These are the agencies and tools that set AI agents up inside your team, compared on what they do, who they fit and how to start.

Most “best AI design agency” lists answer a different question. They rank studios that design AI products: chat interfaces, copilots, agent UX. That’s useful if you’re building an AI product.

This list is for a different buyer. You already have designers. You want agents doing the production work inside your team, so your designers spend their hours on decisions.

We’re on this list, and we put ourselves first. Below is why, and when you should pick someone else.

Short answer: for agents across the whole design loop, set up and trained for you, talk to Precious Studio or Humbleteam. To try it on one problem first, book a sprint with Loop Studio. If you have design ops capacity, start with Figma’s own agent or the free open-source skills.

The short version

1. Precious Studio

What we do. We build AI infrastructure into your design team. Agents read your analytics and session recordings, flag where users struggle, write the brief, draft options inside your design system, then produce the states, sizes, specs, tokens and design QA. Your designers make the calls at every step.

How it starts. We map where your team’s hours go. You get a plan for which agents to set up first. Then we set them up in your accounts and train your designers to run them.

Why first. Our setup starts before the production work, at your analytics and recordings, so the agents work on what users actually struggle with. We run the same agents on our own products, where delivery is 55% faster. We’re a product design studio in Austin, so senior designers set it up.

Pick someone else if you need a large team on day one. We’re a small studio, so we take on a few teams at a time.

2. Humbleteam

What they do. A product design and AI engineering studio that sets agents up inside design teams for handoff, QA, asset resizing and backlog grooming. They describe three steps: analyze your workflow, plan the automation, then deploy and train.

Why they’re here. They publish real proof. Their AI page lists 40+ companies, and they open-sourced the agent skills they use with clients.

Watch for. No public pricing. They’re based in Prague and Dubai, so check overlap with your time zone.

3. Loop Studio

What they do. An AI product design sprint: five days of research, design and user testing with AI tools in the workflow.

Why they’re here. A sprint is a low-risk way to see AI in your process on one real problem.

Watch for. A sprint shows you the workflow. It doesn’t leave agents running in your team afterward.

4. Figma Design Agent

What it is. Figma’s own design ops agent. It works inside your files on audits, component cleanup, renaming, consistency checks and handoff. It’s in open beta on paid plans.

Why it’s here. If your team lives in Figma, it’s the fastest way to take routine file work off designers.

Watch for. It’s a tool, not a setup. Someone on your team still has to decide what it runs, check its output and connect it to the rest of your process.

5. Build it yourself with open-source skills

What it is. Studios now publish the agent skills they use. Humbleteam’s open-source repository has ten, including design review, token audits, design QA and handoff. Figma has a guide to turning your design system into a Claude skill.

Why it’s here. It’s free, and you keep full control.

Watch for. It needs a designer who is comfortable with code and has time to maintain it. That’s usually the time you were trying to get back.

How to choose

  • Already in Figma all day and have a design ops person? Start with the Figma agent.
  • Want to test before you commit? A sprint or the free skills.
  • Want agents running across the whole loop, set up and trained for you? Talk to us or Humbleteam, and compare the free first steps.

Not on this list

Studios that design AI products, like the ones in Humbleteam’s AI product design agency list. Great if you’re building an AI product. A different job from putting agents inside your own design team.

Questions buyers ask

Will agents replace our designers? No. Agents take the production work. Your designers keep the decisions. We wrote about why taste stays with people.

Do the agents work with our design system? They should work inside it, not next to it. Ask any option on this list to show you that on your own screens.
