Endeavor Business Media
90+ brands on 100+ disconnected components → one system every brand builds from.
The situation
Endeavor Business Media is a major B2B media organization with 90+ brands across aviation, healthcare, digital infrastructure and more. Its sites had outdated, inconsistent UX. The Aspire CMS carried 100+ disconnected components. Mobile was cluttered, with no industry-specific UX standards. And Marketing, Audience Engagement and Editorial were all fighting over the same page space.
What we did
A long-term partnership on our subscription model, in three steps.
- UX research. We benchmarked leading publishers, found best practices for newsletters and ad placements, and interviewed stakeholders to tie UX to business goals.
- Ecosystem audit. We mapped recurring components and templates across all 90+ sites, grouped them using Atomic Design, and kept everything compatible with Aspire.
- Design system. A tokenized system with consistent type, color and spacing, accessible mobile-first components, and documented examples for designers, developers and managers.
To end the fight over page space, we introduced reusable, CMS-safe templates with clearly marked content zones, so every team knew what it owned. We started with the high-impact areas: home, article layouts, newsletter placements and subscription prompts, made mobile-first and ad-friendly without hurting the reading experience.
The result
- About 40% less design debt across the portfolio.
- 90+ brands now launch from a single system instead of custom builds.
- 100+ one-off components replaced by one tokenized set, cutting layout debates and dev rework.
- A living system Endeavor keeps evolving as new brands and layouts appear.
A tokenized system turns every new brand into a configuration problem, not a new design project.
